We are finally on the mend after our recent bout of stomach flu. We are glad to have gotten it out of the way before our vacation holiday next weekend. This week will be spent gradually preparing food and packing our supplies.

In the spirit of preparation, we have been elaborately dehydrating the soft fruit that we bought in Skagit valley. That should make for healthy snacks on our trip.
I love dehydrating because of how it preserves the food. It helps it keep for so much longer. Another plus is turning a juicy messy peach into a tidy little “prune”. No mess. No fuss. All delicious.
Our kids can eat and eat and eat, so preparing enough food ahead of time will be extremely important.
